Our new house!

First of all I have to warn you that there are no pictures of Reagan or us in this post. So for those of you that only check the blog for that, walk away now! But for those interested in our new house, read on. Reagan pics will follow shortly. They just recently got deleted from the desktop somehow (and by "somehow" I mean that Josh did it).

After 5 months of living in an apartment we were finally able to move into our new house on December 31st. Happy New Year to us! We love our new house...for the most part. Building was a bit of a challenge, and honestly I don't think we would build with the same builder again. A lot of things turned out differently than we had envisioned, despite our best efforts to communicate with our superintendent and all the subs.

The columns, the front door, and the trim work around the garage and the windows are yet to be painted white, but will be as soon as the weather warms up. Now let me tell you what we love about our house. We love the beautiful kitchen and that it's open to the dining and living room; we love the fireplace and how cozy it makes the living room on a cold night; we love all the windows and the beautiful mountain and open field views from them; we love our new ward and our great neighbors; we love having two full bathrooms; and we love our big new bedroom that has allowed us to get a king size bed and sleep as spread out as we want! There's still a bit of decorating to do, so if it looks a bit unfinished or empty, it is. We don't look forward to putting a yard in, but it will be fantastic when it's done this summer, and for many more that we hope to get to live here. We also have a guest bedroom, so to all you out-of-towners, you no longer have an excuse not to come visit!
