May Oh May!

Despite whatever you think, or may have heard, Josh finally graduated from college at Utah State May 8th. He has a bachelors degree in Business, and is now preparing for the GMAT. He is hopeful to get into graduate school at Utah State to complete a master in human resources. And yes.....it did almost take a full decade to finish school.

Julies had her 28th birthday on May 5th we had some real fun planning it. Some friend of ours and I had been planning a surprise birthday BBQ for her the Saturday following her birthday. So prior to this I had been down playing any sort of parties, to amp up the surprise. I eluded to the fact that I had a final the morning after her birthday, so may be just her and I could go to dinner and call it good. Closer to her birthday she told me that she wanted a party with family and friends. I was trying to reason her out of it, but she was getting a bit annoyed with me. Finally asking me, "Why are you arguing with me about this, it's my birthday?"

So she planned a birthday/graduation BBQ with all the friends and family we invited for the Saturday we planned. In the end the only real surprise was it was really at 5:00 rather than 6:00. We broke down and told her, which helped her understand why I being so annoying. Moral of the story..........surprise parties are hard to plan.
